Becca Talavera’s journey into dance began at the age of 3, laying the foundation for a lifelong devotion to movement. Growing up in Miami, Florida, she immersed herself in various styles, including jazz, tap, hip-hop, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary. Her passion for dance only deepened as she cultivated her skills and knowledge.

Becca was part of national award-winning dance teams in middle school and high school (2011-2016) before pursuing a degree in Dance at New World School of the Arts. There, she studied ballet, jazz, and different forms of modern techniques under the instruction of esteemed mentors such as Peter London, Herman Payne, Gerard Ebitz, Hiroko Sakakibara-Silva, among others.

Graduating in 2020 with her BFA in Dance from the University of Florida, Becca embarked on a teaching journey, beginning at the age of 15, particularly focusing on children. She has achieved remarkable success with her students, who have earned regional and national solo titles, as well as multiple high-score accolades at both regional and national competitions.

When not dancing, she explores diverse forms of movement, from different training methods to yoga, embracing a holistic approach to physical expression. Becca is on track to receive her Yoga Teacher Certification in July 2024. Through teaching, she aspires to continue inspiring young dancers to lead lives filled with movement, discipline, and self-expression.
